Hi there 👋,
I’m Jiear Rueschhoff.
I’m a strategic Lead UX/UI Designer with 10+ years of experience shaping innovative, user-centered digital experiences. I have extensive experience partnering closely with leadership, cross-functional, and external teams to drive product innovation, lead complex initiatives, a deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions. My background includes deep collaboration with stakeholders, engineering, product, and marketing to define, build, and optimize experiences across both consumer and enterprise platforms.
My experiences span across desktop and mobile, with a strong focus on system thinking, ensuring consistency, scalability, and cohesion across products and platforms. I’ve also mentored and supported designers, fostering strong craft, clear decision-making, and encouraging growth within teams.
And lately, I’ve been leveraging AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate exploration, deepen learning, and bring my thoughts and ideas to life more efficiently. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me scouring the web for latest design trends, looking to nature and traveling for inspiration, spending time with my kids, and playing ultimate frisbee.
More About Me
I grew up in the Midwest as a child of Southeast Asian refugees. We didn’t have much, and that scarcity fueled my creativity and boundless imagination early on. I always enjoyed creating things, imaging how things could be better, and believing that I could make things better through building, creating, and designing.
In college I briefly pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering but I needed a creative outlet, which led me down an unexpected path. Architecture called to me, blending the precision of math with the poetry of art. It instilled in me that "form follows function", which is the foundation of my design thinking, guiding me to craft designs that are as meaningful as they are mesmerizing. In that journey, I ultimately found my way to the dynamic world of digital design. The shift to UX/UI design was like discovering my calling, allowing me to weave empathy, psychology, and data into experiences that I could make better.
Now, as a Lead UX/UI Designer at Gallup, I continue to push the boundaries between what users need, what’s technical feasible, what brings value to the business, and ultimately what’s possible.
